Proposed Project Overview
Mayer Waste Management is initiating an Environmental Assessment to increase the capacity at the Mayer Waste Disposal Site in Champlain, Ontario by 650,000 m3.
The proposed expansion would not increase the approved daily volume or type of waste, but would allow Mayer Waste Management to extend the life of the existing landfill.
Notice of Draft Environmental Assessment (EA)
You are invited to review the Draft EA Report before the EA Report is finalized and formally submitted to the Miniter of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for approval.
Between Friday October 16 and Friday November 27, the Draft EA Report and a summary of the Draft EA Report will be available in both English and French online (www.mayerexpansionea.com). The Draft EA Report describes the existing landfill operations, the proposed expansion project, how impacts of the proposed expansion will be managed, and commitments to future monitoring and approvals.
