The Amended Terms of Reference was approved for the preparation of an Environmental Assessment by the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks on December 19th, 2024.

This open house was completed on Tuesday, June 20th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Robert Hartley Sport Complex in Hawkesbury.
Notice of Commencement & Public Open House #1 (Completed)
Mayer Waste Management is initiating an Environmental Assessment to increase the total approved capacity at the Mayer Waste Disposal Site in Hawkesbury, Ontario by 650,000m3. The proposed increase would not change the type or annual volume of waste currently accepted at the Site and will allow Mayer Waste Management to continue providing cost effective and environmentally sound waste disposal to local customers like the Town of Hawkesbury.
The Terms of Reference is the workplan for the Environmental Assessment and must be approved by the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. Mayer and GHD will conduct the Environmental Assessment after approval is received.
